Thursday, June 24th, 2004

On 21/06 we had a make up test for Amazing Graves. The zombies worked out really well but the werewolf is hard to do so we will need volunteers on the 1sst August to help us stick hair to people!

information for dandy zombies

Saturday, June 19th, 2004

i did some research on dandies. i mean what the heck do they wear? what is their style?

here is some pointers for all dandy zombies to get costumes ready for august 1st shoot at the necropolis:

dandies like:
hats
fur
pastel colours like lavender and lime green
high starched collars – white shirts – ruffles
cuff links
cashmere coats
navy pinstripes
wigs
eyeliner
vests
neckties
watch chains
thin mustaches
lace
feathers
scarves
good dress shoes or boots with heels
good tailoring
androgyny
white face powder
gold embroidery

also interestingly enough dandyism was defined as a more conscious and elaborate rejection of the bourgeois life than bohemianism. British in origin and aristocratic in essence dandyism took distinction for its very principle. Dandyism accentuated difference in a society that was moving toward uniformisation.

queeruption screening

Wednesday, June 9th, 2004

blood on the decks was screened last week on june 3, 2004 in a brand new cinema in the africa squat in amsterdam for the festival entitled queeruption.

people liked the bits especially heeena’s bits as a lot of her pals were there. but heena is a tremondous actress and we hope to get her for our next film. she wants 12 million american dollars this time so i hope we can afford her. so julia roberts!

we gave a copy to queeruption sydney’s organizers and made contact with new york’s festival. we’ve left a copy of our movie there for the mill’s squat infamous operating theatre’s screenings. they have a cinema made out of beds and cushions instead of seats in the lower floor of a squatted windmill right downtown amsterdam by a canal.

also copies are going to euroqueer in hamburg germany to be screened there this week and also a few rare copies will be for sale in the euroqueer stall/ store.
